A HEALTHY GUT CAN REDUCE COVID-19 SIDE EFFECTS

There is an army of microbes working overtime inside your body, to protect your health. Their protective work regulating the immune system can assist in fighting runaway viral infection and avoiding long-term side effects – particularly relating to long COVID.

Scientists have laid out evidence in a recent study published in the aptly-named Gut journal, showing that bacteria in your gut may influence your risk of developing Long-Covid.

The findings suggest an altered gut microbiome may help whether a person will fully recover from CIVUD-19 infection or become a long-term sufferer.

A healthy diet avoiding high fat and high sugar, plus having fruits, yoghurt and fibre-containing

foods would go a long way to achieving this, with the addition of strong anti-oxidants as a supplement.
